Why Is My Image Blurry?
If your image appears blurry in the preview, it may be because the image size is too small or because the image has been cropped too tightly.
-
Cropping reduces the number of pixels in the final image, and if that smaller portion is then stretched to fit the display area, the software has to “fill in” missing information. This can make the image appear blurry or pixelated.
- Using a portrait image where a landscape image is required can crop the image too tightly, reducing quality and obscuring key features like people or landmarks.
To avoid this, please refer to the image sizes and aspect ratios below. If your image meets or exceeds the recommended dimensions, automatic cropping to the correct ratio should not negatively affect image quality.
| Image | Size in px | Aspect Ratio |
| Hero Image | 1500 x 750 | 2:1 |
| Itinerary/Amenity/Product Image | 1200 x 1000 | 6:5 |
| Support Image | 1000 x 1200 | 5:6 |
| Member Portal Carousel Ad | 1200 x 600 | 2:1 |
| Member Portal Banner Ad | 1270 x 226 | 6:1 (5.6:1) |
| Member Portal Splash Ad | 1920 x 1080 | 16:9 |
| Connections Newsletter Banner Ad | 600 x 168 | 4:1 (3.6:1) |
| Map Image | 1200 x 400 | 6:5 |
| Partner Logo | 260 x 70 | 26:7 |
Don’t worry if your image doesn’t match these exact dimensions, these guidelines are meant to help you choose images that are close in size, so resolution is preserved when uploaded.
If a blurry image is submitted, our team may request an alternate or larger version. Using the preview to check your image beforehand can help minimize back-and-forth communication.
