Best Practices When Working With Overlays
Several products include overlays. Below are a few quick tips and reminders to help ensure a smooth process.
The new Content Collection app now includes built-in overlays for various product placements. These include the Partner of the Month square for Member Portal Ads, logo overlays for Member Portal Carousel and Banner Ads, and the Partner Spotlight badge for Connections Newsletter Banner Ads.
Combined with the preview function, these built-in overlays allow you to see exactly where each element will appear and how it interacts with your selected image before finalizing your submission.

Ensure your logo does not cover any key visual elements, such as a person’s face, product detail, landmark, or focal point of the image

Confirm that the Partner of the Month or Partner Spotlight badge does not obscure any important image features
- Utilize larger image sizes (preferably the size stated on the product, or larger) to ensure the image is not blurry when automatically resized, or cropped

Use the edit and crop tools to reposition your image as needed, ensuring essential elements remain clearly visible

Check that your logo stands out clearly against the background. Pay close attention to color contrast and background complexity (ex. a white logo on a light background or a dark logo on a busy image can reduce legibility)
