Setting Up Your HubSpot Contact Views
HubSpot Contact Views are essentially saved filters that allow you to quickly view specific segments of your contact list. This guide walks you through creating, editing, and managing those various views in HubSpot.
In this how-to guide, we are going to setup and save views to quickly access various segments of your contact list. This is particularly helpful for easily accessing your Print Magazine, Digital, and Direct Mail communication channel lists.
1. Start by navigating to the Contacts section in HubSpot. In the top-right corner, click “Add view”, then select “Create new view."
Note: HubSpot allows you to create and save up to 50 different views.
2. Give your View a clear, descriptive name so it's easy to identify later. For example, you might use names like Départ Magazine, Print Magazine, or Range Magazine.
Next, decide whether you want to share the View with your team (if multiple people manage lists) or keep it private for personal use.
Once you're ready, click “Confirm” to save your View.
3. Once your view is created, navigate to “Advanced Filters” as shown below.
This is where you’ll define the specific criteria for the view—such as filtering by communication channel, or any property relevant to your Member Marketing lists.
4. Now it's time to define who appears in your View by selecting the right filters.
For example, if you're creating a View for contacts with a Print Magazine allocation, start typing "Communication Channel" into the filter search bar. Select the "Communication Channel" property, then choose "Print Magazine" from the available options.
Once you've applied your filter, click the “X” at the top of the filter panel to return to your contact list.
5. Once you've returned to the Contacts view, don’t forget to save your changes. Click the floppy disk icon (as shown below) to ensure your filters are applied and stored.
Your View is now ready and will display only the contacts that meet your selected criteria.
After saving, you can easily switch between your new View (Range Print Magazine in the example below) and your full contact list (All Contacts) by navigating between the tabs at the top of the Contacts screen.
This allows you to quickly access your saved segments—like Print Magazine, Digital, or Direct Mail—without needing to reapply filters each time.
